More than 78 alumni came to recognize the 50’th anniversary celebration of the SVC Polar Bearcats! In an outstanding tribute to the to the ice hockey club, members from the very first team of 1969-1970 through this year’s senior class golfed at Latrobe Country Club, played a Legends and a Competitive Game and gathered at the Fred Rogers Center to reconnect with friends and memories.
25 golfers, 29 legends skaters, 28 competitive game participants, and more than 100 alumni, family, friends and children attended the evening dinner. Fr. Paul Taylor, O.S.B. gave the invocation and Mike Ziemianski C’79 provided an opening address. Suman Chakrabarti and his son Kaden took the distance honors coming in from Seattle while Brandy Wehe at age 76 was noted as the elder statesman of all the skaters!
